Privacy policy
Peakify is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Peakify, and our website, peakify.me. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your data.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Information that personally identifies you, such as your name, email address, and phone number, when you create an account or interact with the app.
- Usage Data: Information about how you use the app, including workout data, performance metrics, and preferences.
- Device Information: Information about the device you use to access the app, including IP address, device model, and operating system.
2. How we use your information
We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and improve our services.
- To personalize your experience and tailor the app to your preferences.
- To analyze app usage and improve performance.
- To communicate with you about updates, promotions, and support.
3. How we share your information
We may share your information in the following situations:
- With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party providers who assist us in app development, analytics, and customer support.
- For Legal Purposes: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request.
- Business Transfers: If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the new owner.
4. Analytics
We use Amplitude, a third-party analytics service, to understand how Peakify is used so we can improve it. What we collect is deliberately minimal:
- In the app: anonymous usage events (screens viewed, workouts started and finished, fitness tests and journal entries saved) tied to a random device identifier, along with device model, operating system, app version, and approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP address. We never send your name, email, journal text, or your training results — what you wrote and how you performed stays out of analytics.
- On the website: anonymous page views and clicks tied to a random browser identifier. We use no analytics cookies and do not send your IP address to Amplitude, so no location is derived. If your browser signals “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control, we collect nothing at all.
5. Data security
We use appropriate security measures to protect your information. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and choices
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. To make such requests, please contact us at [Your Contact Email]. Please note that certain information may be retained for legal purposes or as necessary to provide our services.
7. Children's privacy
Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our servers.
8. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
